For oral presentations

Oral presentations will be up to 15 minutes long + 5 minutes for questions and answers.

Projector (1024 x 768) and computer incl. audio I/O will be at presenters service. Presenters who want to use their own laptops are kindly asked to contact the Organisers (registration desk resp. lecture hall) in advance to test connectivity with projector. Presenters are also asked to contact the Organisers (registration desk resp. lecture hall) to upload the final version of their presentation (PPT or PDF format) via USB stick in the morning of the day of their presentation or at the latest 30 minutes before their session starts.

FOR POSTER PRESENTATIONS

Poster presentations are an excellent mechanism to facilitate the rapid communication of scientific ideas. Poster presentations should visually guide viewers through the basics of the study displayed on the poster board while the presenter focuses on explanation and clarification of the key elements of the work and answers viewer questions. The poster presentation format is less formal and more interactive than an oral seminar because it provides the opportunity for viewers to engage in discussion and to have one-to-one interactions.

Each poster should be announced by the presenter in a short talk (1 min for SPECOM or 2 min for ICR sessions with 1 PPT or PDF slide) during a 'poster rally' at the beginning of the poster session (in the announced lecture hall close-by).

Poster boards will be available for presenters at the conference venue. Posters up to A0 format in vertical (portrait) or horizontal (landscape) orientation may be used (max. size 841x1189 mm or 1189x841 mm). Each board will have pushpins available for presenters to secure their poster. The posters should be mounted till lunch break (before session #ICR2, #ICR4, #ICR5) or in the coffee break (before session #SPC3, #SPC7, #SPC10). Please remove your poster after the session. Posters left after the end of the conference will be removed. Poster presenters are only required to be present at their poster board during the assigned time of their poster presentation.
